Located in Birmingham’s historic Ensley neighborhood, and just across the street from the famous Tuxedo Junction dancehall where many famous jazz musicians began their playing careers, sits Tuxedo Terrace. It’s a 290-unit apartment home community comprised of 1, 2, 3, and 4-bedroom homes. Financed in part through a $20 million Hope VI grant and built on the site of the former Tuxedo Court Public Housing community, Tuxedo Terrace opened its doors in 2009 and provides housing options though both public housing and tax credit programs.
